一、capacitor

Capacitors are defined as electronic components that hold and release charge. Its role is charge discharge, ac, dc, of course, and rectification, oscillation and so on. And the structure of the capacitor is very simple,

It consists of an insulating medium sandwiched in the middle and two positive and negative electrodes, so the type of capacitance is usually determined by the insulating medium and the electrodes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
 
 

Capacitors are used in many ways, mainly as follows:

1. Bypass (decoupling) : Provides a low impedance path for some parallel components in an AC circuit.

2. Dc isolation: the function is to prevent dc from passing through and allow AC to pass through.

3. Coupling: A connection between two circuits that allows ac signals to pass through and be transmitted to the next circuit

4. Energy storage: Storing electrical energy for release when needed. Such as camera flash, heating equipment and so on

5. Temperature compensation: to improve the stability of the circuit by compensating for the impact of the inadequate adaptability of other components to temperature.

6. Filtering: this is very important for DIY, the capacitor on the graphics card is basically this role.

7. Timing: The capacitor is used in conjunction with the resistor to determine the time constant of the circuit.

8. Rectifier: to turn on or off the semiconductor switching assembly at a predetermined time.

9. Tuning: Systematic tuning of frequency-dependent circuits, such as cell phones, radios, television sets, etc.
